Super-visa is a type of visitor visa, which is multi-entry for a period up to 10 years. You can obtain Super-visa if you are parents or grandparents of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. The advantage of Super-visa over regular visitor visa is that individual holding a Super-visa can stay for up to two years on initial entry to Canada without renewing your status.
To obtain a Super-visa, you should execute the same procedures as regular visitor visa plus some additional requirements:
Prove that your child or grandchild in Canada meets a minimum income threshold
Provide a written statement from that child or grandchild that he or she will give you financial support
Have valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year
